Although Mastiffs have only owned me for a
few years, I have been involved in dogs and dog showing since I was a young child.
At 6 years old I asked my mom to lie about my age so I could take her Samoyed into Junior
Showmanship. I got my own puppy (a Sheltie) for my seventh birthday and I have had
at least one dog of my own ever since. |

I
am an owner-handler, and I also have shown several dogs for my friends. I enjoy the
competition and friendly rivalries that go along with showing. Thanks to some
beautiful, well-bred dogs (and a little help from my lucky blue suit) I have been pretty
successful in the show ring in the past couple of years. |

|
|
My dogs are my
children... they sleep on the couch or in bed with me, get Christmas and birthday
presents, and would never dream of spending a night outside. Some people think I'm
crazy, but my "kids" mean the world to me, and I wouldn't trade them for
anything. Currently, 3 spoiled Mastiffs and 3 equally spoiled non-Mastiffs call the
Gatehouse home. |
